The Drunken Fish
 Folks that have been around awhile will fondly remember the saloonish shotgun brick interior and cozy wooden bar that was once Laurell's. This is certainly one of very few places on touristy 2nd Avenue that you can actually call charming. Order a glass of wine and watch the roaming rowdies outside from safely within. Black-clad servers sashay like cats among the tables.

Coyote Ugly Saloon
This faux-dive chain, which features hot waitresses dancing on the bar and lip synching to loud rock and roll, is part of the ever-growing Coyote Ugly franchise made popular by the 2000 feature film of the same name. The playfully rowdy Nashville version, on heavily trafficked 2nd Avenue below Buffalo Billiard's, stays true to the concept, with added bits of country and western décor. The 8,000 square ft. main room features Nashville longest bar at 108 feet.

 This Demonbreun Street newcomer consists of a single, nicely decorated sliver of a room. Corrugated sheet-metal half walls surround a long, thin dining room with stylish wooden tables. Black-and-white photos adorn the walls and a small stage for live music occupies the back corner. A young, hip clientele likes to hang out until the late evening hours. Service is helpful in interpreting the multi-ingredient menu.
