Cobb web site answers transportation questions and more
Cobb's newest web site offers the inside
information on transportation issues throughout Cobb County. The new
site includes information about McCollum Field, CCT, Silver Comet Trail
and road construction updates.
Recently launched, the DOT site is already proving to be a great
resource for the community.
"With bus schedules, maps of the Silver
Comet Trail and live traffic cameras, we are providing needed
information in a quick and convenient format," said Webmaster Mike Lee.
The site was created to answer the most common questions about
transportation. The CCT section includes information for bus routes,
arrival times and passenger fares.
The Silver Comet Trail page includes
maps of the trail, access areas, and future routes. The status of major
road projects and closings will be updated on a regular basis along with
live images of road conditions in some of Cobb's busiest roadways.
The
site also includes direct email access to DOT, and a comprehensive phone
list of DOT contacts.
"DOT is using the website to not only get information out, but to hear
back from the public as well," said Cobb DOT Director Dan Dobry.
"Delivering data while receiving citizen feedback allows us to do a
better job in serving Cobb's motorists."
